SpunkyBeat.org is a reincarnation of my previous web-life. Owner of many previous domains, I left the web for quite some time during college and now, I'm back! Spunkybeat was originally purchased in 2003, but after abandoning it in '04 and allowing it to run out, fate stepped in when I found it still available in 2011.

Okay, so I'm currently in the process of trying to find an internship for this summer at a publication here in Boston, and I'm absolutely terrified that I won't find anything. If i can't find anything in my field, I'm scared I won't get my foot in the door for after I graduate from my Master's program at the end of the year. If I don't get a journalism job, I'll be stuck working full-time at Starbucks forever. I guess they're in need for store managers, I could do that for a while and freelance, but still, it won't be fulfilling my dreams of going to big fashion parties and writing about the latest runway shows.
On another note, I found out that I'm going on an all-expenses-paid trip to Russia with my grad school friend Stephanie and a couple of Boston University Professors. We will be presenting our work that we have done on an eco-based Magazine about Boston. Russia for seven days in the middle of May...so exciting! Now, if only I could get a handle on wordpress and installing it, I will try and blog every day...Is anyone experienced enough for that?

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am to be relaunching this domain again. Not only will it be a great place to showcase my graphic design and website skills, but an outlet for creativity and a distraction when I need to get away from my Graduate School work, which I find myself trying to do all the time. For those of you who knew me when I had sites many years ago, thank you for finding me again! I'm glad to be back and I hope I can find a circle of online acquaintances and friends like I previously had.
As a quick update on my life right now, I'm a Graduate Student at Boston University, studying Print Journalism, with a concentration in Magazines. I'm currently submitting applications for summer internships at places like Boston Magazine and Style Boston. Hopefully something will fall into place for me, because this time next year, I will have a Masters degree and will most certainly be in need of a job.
